Baby Shower Card: Step By Step

Of course I made a card to go along with the diaper cake.

I wanted to do something a little different so I made a circular card.

I used my fancy shmancy circle cutter to cut 3 big circles.

The kraft coloured cardstock is 6 inches, the green polka dotted is 5 3/4 inches and the blue gingham is 5 1/4 inches.

I cut some white cardstock to hold my stamped images and sentiments, and cut some blue and green cardstock 1/4 inch bigger to border them.

I used the insanely cute Lawn Fawn Plus One stamp set.

I used "plain" white cardstock for the two sentiment stamps, but for the oven I used Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the images.

I used my American Crafts Chromatix markers to colour the image.

I haven't used Copics, but I'm pretty happy with my Chromatix markers. I think for my level they are perfect. I didn't have a lot of time when I made this card, so I didn't experiment with any shading.

I added a little bonus heart inside the oven because I could not resist the cuteness!

I glued the stamped papers onto their backgrounds and then glued them to the proper circles. I used foam glue on the front of the card to add dimension.

I punched a hole for this pewter coloured brad.

The top piece of cardstock isn't totally centered. Unfortunately  my punch doesn't reach far enough to punch the hole where I would prefer. I don't really mind though. I could always make a hole by pushing the brad through the cardstock if I really wanted it somewhere else.

Pretty simple and really fun to make!

Here is my whole gift:
